For the Noting Hill subject Kannada adaptation the famous comedy actor Komal Kumar with nearly 80 plus films to his credit and very good academic education he contacted the pride of Kannada cinema actress Ramya to accept the role that was flatly rejected and said nothing doing. The same Ramya rejected Ganesh ‘Chellata’ offer that went to Rekha but after Ganesh making it big in the box office she starred with him in ‘Bombaat’. How the colorful field works is the example Komalkumar quoted. Inevitably comes to his mind that is it because of his black skin color.

Komalkumar tried through his brother Jaggesh but nothing could work out. She is not ready to hear the concept of Komalkumar. In the subject thought out by Komalkumar he wants the top actress to do the role. The central character is the heroine and she is the rich, ravishing lady and actress too in the film. For such a heroine Komalkumar is the ardent fan. He has posters around the walls in his living room of the actress in his village. He has a stinking rich father a landlord. Locked in a problem the heroine is rescued by Komalkumar but she comes in disguise to the house……..so on goes the story that Komalkumar narrates.

But his big question remains why Ramya did not accepted the offer to act. Is comedy actors are useless, they do not look good is the reason? Such questions haunt Komalkumar.

Later speaking on the upward trend of his career in films Komal Kumar says he has not much of offers on hand but he is looking for the roles that are well derived.
